When the sun goes down we dim the lamps, turn the record over and bring out the dessert menu. Most nights it's just that. A few nights a week, there's something on.

An hour of quiet reading in the Salon, phones face down. We dim the lamps a touch, put a pot of tea on every table, and the first chapter is on us. No discussion unless you want one afterwards.

Every Thursday · 8:30 pm to 10:30 pm
Every Thursday a guest player takes the corner by the bookcase: oud, guitar, piano, sometimes a voice and nothing else. Seats go to whoever comes first, and the dessert menu runs all night.

First Saturday of the month · 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm
On the first Saturday of the month our pastry team lays out five desserts they're working on, each paired with something from the evening bar. Twelve seats, one sitting. You tell us which ones make the menu.
